Gujarat Sahay is an effort to create a charity ecosystem that is a charity in the true sense. We are probably the 1st 100% charity website in India that does not benefit (directly or indirectly) from any activity that has been steered by our efforts.
We are trying to create a platform for donors and recipients to meet and engage in charity work which will help us create a better society. We have come across innumerable people who want to do something for society but are not sure about the authenticity of the work they are getting involved in.
At Gujarat Sahay, we try to promote authentic needs which deserve attention and your help. We try to present live cases of good work being carried out in the society and invite people to become a part of it. The website is an open forum for people to post and share what they feel deserves help and also an open forum to discuss what is already being presented to the viewers.
We are trying to cover every part of our Gujarat State including but not limited to Ahmedabad, Surat, Jamnagar, Vadodra, Bharuch, Kutch, Saurashtra, and more. We are focusing on social issues like women empowerment, Poverty Alleviation, Orphanage, Medical Assistance, Agriculture Assistance, and many more. As this is not an inclusive list we are looking to learn more about the needs and evolve our offerings. As a moderator, we plan to employ the maximum resources to verify the authenticity of the requirements being posted on our website and also spread the word around so people can understand how they can help.
We envision this effort to reach people from all walks of life, economic status, educational background, and social standing. Our aim is to make people aware of the social responsibilities they have towards their fellow citizens and also utilize one god-given capacity to the fullest. From our experience we have seen that people are not very comfortable to donate money directly as they are not very sure about the utilization of the same, keeping this in mind we are trying to promote only requirements in kind, labour or advice. In cases that do not have any scope of donation in kind, we will try to create a consensus around how to collaborate the efforts of donors and see to it that the money collected is utilized in the right way.
